The MTSA Program Analysis System
نویسنده
چکیده
This whitepaper describes the basics of using and interpreting the results of the MTSA analysis tool. It also contains the results of several detailed case studies describing the results produced by the analysis for a number of interesting benchmarks, some of the features of the benchmarks that make them particularly interesting problems and examples of how the information provided by the MTSA analysis can be used to perform various program optimizations. The MTSA analysis framework is a shape analysis tool that is designed as a general purpose heap analysis which is capable of providing heap information that is applicable to a wide range of optimization applications (including thread and instruction level parallelization, vectorization, garbage collection, object allocation, scheduling and redundant code elimination). The version described in this paper is based on the Summer 2008 snapshot which supports the majority of the Java programming language (including most of the classes defined in java.util, java.io and java.lang), is capable of efficiently analyzing smaller java programs (up to about 7KLOC in less than a minute), and is able to produce precise and useful information for a wide range of heap structures and algorithms that operate on them (recursive structures, mutation and non-trivial sharing).

Risk Factors for Problematic Behaviors among Forensic Outpatients under the Medical Treatment and Supervision Act in Japan
The Medical Treatment and Supervision Act (MTSA) was enacted in 2005 in Japan to promote the reintegration of clinical offenders with mental disorders into society. Under the MTSA, individuals who committed serious crimes in a state of insanity or diminished responsibility are diverted from the criminal justice system to the mental health system. Based on court decisions about MTSA-based treatm...

Microtubule-stabilizing agents (MTSAs), including the taxanes and epothilones, are effective chemotherapeutic agents for the treatment of many cancers. Neuropathy is a major adverse effect of MTSA-based chemotherapy, with severe peripheral neuropathy (grade 3 or 4) occurring in as many as 30% of patients treated with a MTSA. MTSA-induced neuropathy usually resolves gradually after cessation of ...
متن کاملMycobacterium tuberculosis secreted antigen (MTSA-10) modulates macrophage function by redox regulation of phosphatases.
Macrophages are the primary host cells for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). Although macrophages can mount a strong inflammatory response to dispose of invading microbial pathogens, the immune dysfunction of the Mtb-infected macrophage constitutes the hallmark of mycobacterial pathogenesis. A 10-kDa, Mtb secretory antigen (MTSA-10), encoded by ORF Rv3874, is one of the predominant members of t...
متن کاملDevelopment of forensic mental health services in Japan: working towards the reintegration of offenders with mental disorders
BACKGROUND Until the recent enactment of the Medical Treatment and Supervision Act (MTSA) in 2005, neither legislations nor facilities for mentally disordered offenders were available in Japan. The aim of the country's forensic mental health services, based on this new law, is to improve the social reintegration of mentally disordered offenders. In order to provide optimal psychiatric care to t...
متن کاملEffect of Mycobacterium tuberculosis-specific 10-kilodalton antigen on macrophage release of tumor necrosis factor alpha and nitric oxide.
Secreted proteins of Mycobacterium tuberculosis are major targets of the specific immunity in tuberculosis and constitute promising candidates for the development of more efficient vaccines and diagnostic tests. We show here that M. tuberculosis-specific antigen 10 (MTSA-10, originally designated CFP-10) can bind to the surface of mouse J774 macrophage-like cells and stimulate the secretion of ...
